What is NewMUN?

Newton Model United Nations is simulation activity in which students practice international diplomacy following Model UN rules of procedure that will take place on April 13th and 14th, 2019, at Newton College.

NewMUN is an opportunity for students to debate the most pressing issues of the day and to draft innovative, creative solutions. Delegates will develop several skills throughout this process, including but not limited to: public speaking, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, and policy crafting.

Throughout the two days of the conference, 250 high school students will be deliberating on issues adapted from the agenda of the United Nations and its partner regional bodies, centred around our 2019 theme of "Forming Responsible leaders".
