Perseverance, collaboration, and determination. With 45 delegate awards and 2 best delegation prizes during the 2022 period - in both national and international conferences - it can be said that these attributes have consistently been present in our delegates' performance and passion for learning. With our team’s dedication to being a reliable beacon of support for our delegates throughout their entire MUN journey, we have been witnesses to their incredible personal growth this past year, making their participation all the more admirable to us.
Harvard MUN 2023 was a particularly massive challenge, as participating members found themselves in a larger, unfamiliar environment with delegates from all over the globe. The 4 day conference, sometimes with 4-hour sessions, demanded dedication. This determination paid off in the 2 commendations we were awarded: a Diplomatic Commendation and an Outstanding delegate award for two of our double delegations. We are proud of each of our 11 Newton participants, as the diverse perspectives found in those conference rooms will serve as invaluable and inspiration for their MUN career.
We are grateful for our delegates’ and our secretariat’s adherence to MUN commitment, dedicating several afternoons to our weekly preparation club sessions, as well as various weekends towards participating in both national and international conferences. We also wish to once again congratulate delegates’ spirit of self improvement and exploration of global issues surrounding us, and express our encouragement towards broadening your understanding of them.
Finally, we too highlight that none of this would have been possible without the support of our faculty advisors, who take charge of organising our weekly sessions and motivating students with their talent and passion for teaching. We are delighted to welcome the MUN community to our upcoming NCMUN 2023 conference, and we look forward to contributing to your development as you take on the role of young and proactive global diplomats.
