We are also seeking to appoint a Head of the Theatre Arts Department who will be responsible for the Theatre Arts curriculum in all three Levels of the school (Early Years, Lower School and Upper School).

This candidate may be the appointee for the above vacant post (i.e. Teacher of Theatre Arts), or could be an appointment from the current staff of Theatre Arts teachers.

Candidates must have proven experience in a leadership role and for this position the following qualities are considered particularly important:

  • The capacity to foster team work and collaborative planning;

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Theatre Arts teacher who will be responsible for teaching the subject in Upper School. Candidates should fulfil the following requirements:

  • Experience teaching Theatre Arts in a school;
  • An advanced level of English (Cambridge Proficiency level as a minimum);
  • The proven ability to deliver high quality lessons;
  • A genuine concern for the cognitive, emotional and social development of students;
  • Experience in directing and producing school plays;

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative whole school Head of Design and Technology, who has a proven track record as an excellent practitioner with experience in leadership, preferably working with the IB Middle Years and/or Diploma Programme, and be committed to inquiry based learning. The candidate should have a lifelong love of learning, especially about pedagogy, and an innovative spirit, with an enthusiastic and positive professional attitude with strong interpersonal and team working skills.

The appointee should have the capacity to both work autonomously and as part of a leadership team in order to:

  • Help design and equip the new facility
  • Draft and implement a Design curriculum within the IB Middle Years and Diploma programs.
  • Train and supervise a local, bilingual technical assistant
  • Work to lead and empower a team of Design teachers with an emphasis on outstanding classroom practice.

The new Head be contracted in October 2017 and will be on significant release time till the end of the academic year in December in order to focus on the design and equipping of the new facility, training the local assistant, and to continue developing the design curriculum.
