Welcome to Newton College, a private, co-educational, bilingual, Peruvian-British school that is home to around 1500 pupils aged between 2 and 18. Our curriculum nurtures the intellectual, emotional, personal and social development of each pupil. We are committed to a high quality education that prepares our pupils to live, learn and work in order to become successful local and global citizens. Through our curriculum, which is based on the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate, we work towards our aspiration that education should lead to lifelong learning, compassion and active citizenship.
We are located on a very beautiful and spacious campus
, next to a lake, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. We deliver an international curriculum
and were the first school in Peru to offer the IB Diploma Programme. We also deliver the IB Primary Years Programme and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education courses of Cambridge University.
One of the principal motors of our educational system is Education for Sustainable Development.
From a very early age we strive to help our pupils to understand the vision, values and behaviour required for a more sustainable way of life.
Our graduates enter the most prestigious universities in Peru and in the world and become successful citizens in all walks of life.
In December 2006, the Guardian newspaper of the United Kingdom named us as one of "The Best International Schools Around the World"
We invite you to walk around our campus, get to know our school community and appreciate our school ethos. We will be delighted to explain to you our educational aims and philosophy in more detail, and further discuss with you how home and school can develop your child's full potential by working in close harmony.
We look forward to meeting you.
